Peggy Vaughan and Gina Garcia are a mother-daughter baking duo that started Gina’s Goodies in December 2004. They are both self-taught and through family recipes and a lot of experimentation have created recipes that echo grandma’s but push forward, expanding the boundaries. Their company is growing fast and their backgrounds in restaurants are proving to be an asset in this field. As of June 2007, they use Gina’s family’s restaurant as baking headquarters and have not advertised until now.

“We’ve been very lucky that our clients have been so eager to recommend us to their families and friends. This business is growing so fast through referrals that we know we have so much to offer those who haven’t tried our candy and cookies yet. Our goal is to be the first thing people think of when trying to find a special gift for a loved one.

“We do wedding favors, shower favors, birthday party treats, even platters of cookies and muffins for office parties. I’ve delivered gifts to new homeowners as a thank you gift from their agents or lenders and it’s amazing to know that we’re thought of as a housewarming gift. That’s what we’re all about: a little taste of home,” says Gina.

Peggy quickly adds, “We know that anyone would be excited to receive a Gina’s Goodies gift box for any occasion. They make a great gift for a coworker, neighbor, hostess, and of course, family. I truly feel that my daughter and I working together is a big reason why these treats taste so good - they’re made with so much love! We couldn’t have it any better than this-to work together every day and spend this time with each other. It’s fitting that our goodies are given as favors for a wedding or a baby shower - some of the happiest days of our clients’ lives and in a small way we get to share in that. It makes ‘going to work’ so rewarding!”
